About Us

Generally speaking, NYCVC supports continuing education of our membership base, facilitating deal sharing & syndication, supporting portfolio company business development, providing exposure to unique industry research, and enabling the free exchange of ideas & discussions.

Social Series

NYCVC organizes a number of private networking events that bring together the membership base (and occasionally others) to connect and foster relationships beyond the office. These events range from cocktail receptions & happy hours to sporting events & community service.

Workshop Series

NYCVC also hosts a series of education workshops and roundtable gatherings that support continuing education in deal negotiation, transaction structuring, venture lending, capital formation, tax planning, industry research, and talent management.

We bring together our membership to exclusively organize approximately three to four events per year. Below is a list of some of our events:


  • Capital Call New York

    Topic: Antoine Peychaud, a Creole immigrant, operated a pharmacy in New Orleans' French Quarter in the 1830s. With his background as an apothecary, he was a natural mixologist. His friends would gather for late-night revelry at his pharmacy. Peychaud would mix brandy, absinthe and a dash of his secret bitters for his guests. Later this quaff would come to be known as the Sazerac.
